Proper Exercise Form

You don’t have to be an elite athlete to reap the benefits of exercise/training.  One thing is definitely for certain, whether elite athlete or average Joe, proper exercise form is the most essential element to attaining any fitness goals.  When exercises are performed correctly, it can help you lose fat, increase your strength and muscle tone, and improve your bone density.  However, when performed incorrectly, exercise won’t give you these benefits — and may even lead to injury.

Proper exercise form is simply a specific way of performing a movement to avoid injury and maximize effectiveness.  Performing exercises properly will help you:

  • decrease your chances of injury
  • gain quicker results as exercises are more effective
  • increase your flexibility when performing exercise properly through a full range of motion

The more you focus on proper form, the more you’ll get from the exercise program.  You will get quicker results and remain injury-free.  Remember, “we never compromise form.”
